Cable length is reach, not just depth
Here is the part most spec sheets never explain. The cable does two jobs: it lowers the sensor to the water, and it carries the reading back to the communication box, which has to sit on dry ground. So the length you need is the whole path, not the depth of the water.

Does the sensor go in the water?
